Suzanne Ferera
I am an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of mental health experience, specializing in community mental health, eating disorders and adolescent mental health. For the past decade, I’ve supported families in their homes and provided workshops to parents and educators.
Recently, I spent two years in an elementary school, teaching parents and educators strategies to address behavioural issues and better support children’s needs both at school and home. During this time, I began using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) with children, staff and parents. The success of EFT led me to train as a clinical EFT practitioner through EFT Universe.
My journey is personal. After my first child was born, I struggled with postnatal anxiety. Despite my professional background, I found parenting challenging and lacked support. It took years of therapy, parenting classes and trauma training to become the parent I wanted to be. This experience deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and now informs my work.
My passion is to help parents overcome personal and parenting challenges with compassion and practical tools. I guide them toward their goals in a supportive, non-judgmental way and help them access additional resources if needed.
Parents come to me with a range of concerns, and I’m here to listen, support, and guide them. I use EFT to help both parents and children overcome emotional challenges. For adults, EFT can bring rapid, transformative change, often in just one session. For children, EFT works quickly, helping them manage their emotions and develop resilience. Parents often share how tapping has become a valuable tool for their children.
It is an honour to do this work, helping families lead happier, healthier lives.

“Having an ADHD son led to a point where he didn’t care and started to adopt the role of a “trouble maker “especially at school. When he was 10 years old, we couldn’t take his “oppositional behaviour” anymore. Trying different therapists and approaches nothing worked. When Suzanne introduced us to descriptive praise, it worked on the first day we tried using it.The strategies required a lot of personal adjustment and Suzanne was there to help us re-phrase sentences and change our attitude. The most important part was the “personal” homework Suzanne gave us in order to help us change, so we could begin to work on getting a more positive relationship with our son. It still works, and we are grateful for the change she helped us make in our life.”
